Vecumam draudzīgas bibliotēkas
Mēs esam strādājuši, lai katrai no mūsu 8 vietējām bibliotēkām un mobilās bibliotēkas pakalpojumam iegūtu vecumam draudzīga statusu.
Katra bibliotēkas filiāle ir izvirzījusi darbinieku par īpašu vecumam draudzīgo čempionu. Šie vecumam draudzīgie čempioni pabeidza apmācību un veica aptauju ar savas vietējās kopienas locekļiem, lai noteiktu trīs darbības, kuras varētu veikt, lai uzlabotu to, kā bibliotēka sadarbojas ar vecākiem cilvēkiem savā bibliotēkā.
Pēdējo mēnešu laikā bibliotēkas darbinieki ir smagi strādājuši, lai īstenotu šīs izmaiņas, tostarp;
- Vecumam piemērotas autostāvvietas ārpus Urlingfordas un Kāstlkomera bibliotēkām.
- Bibliotēkā pieejamas lasīšanas brilles/ palielināmā lapa
- Vecumam draudzīgi ratiņi Graiguenamanagh un pilsētas bibliotēkā
- Vecumam draudzīga programmēšana, piemēram, ziedu kārtošana, radošā rakstīšana, mākslas nodarbības utt
Bealtīna, 2024. gada maijs
Kilkenijas apgabala bibliotēkas dienests ar prieku šogad maijā atkal piedalās Bealtainā. Bealtaine ir Īrijas nacionālais festivāls, kurā tiek svinēta māksla un radošums, mums novecojot.

Poetry workshop with Tina Hunt - Tuesday 14th May 6pm
Join Tina Hunt for a poetry writing workshop at Graiguenamanagh Library.
The intention of the workshop is to encourage creativity through the writing of poetry. Participants can be new to writing or more experienced; the session is set up to consider both.
During this workshop Tina will discuss various types of poetry and using props to get started with the writing process.

Mūsu pakalpojums no durvīm līdz durvīm tika izveidots Covid pandēmijas laikā ar lieliem panākumiem, un mēs esam priecīgi, ka varam turpināt šo personalizēto pakalpojumu. Mūsu piegādes šoferis nometīs jūsu izvēlētās grāmatas tieši pie jūsu durvīm — ja zināt kādu, kurš ir vecāks par 65 gadiem un dzīvo Kilkenny grāfistē, un vēlētos izmantot šo pakalpojumu, lūdzu, sazinieties ar vietējo bibliotēku.

Burvju galds
Burvju galds sastāv no interaktīvu spēļu sērijas, kas tiek projicētas uz galda. Spēles ir izstrādātas ar nolūku izraisīt atmiņu sajūtu starp spēlētājiem, lai veicinātu sociālu, kognitīvu un fizisku stimulāciju. Kā vieglas simulācijas spēles tiek projicētas uz galda, un tajās ietilpst dārzkopība, makšķerēšana un balonu lēkšana. Gaismas spēles mudina spēlētājus sniegties pret viņiem, un gaismas pēc tam reaģē uz viņu roku un roku kustībām.
Magic Table ietver arī spēles cilvēkiem ar autismu. Šīs spēles tiek raksturotas kā tiešākas izglītojošas spēles.
Loughboy bibliotēkā atrodas pirmais uzstādītais Magic Table Kilkenny, Castlecomer un Graiguenamanagh bibliotēkās ir portatīvie galdi, kurus uz noteiktu laiku var aizdot ārējām iestādēm, kuru lietotāji var gūt labumu no tā izmantošanas.
